Moonlight Pomegranate

I was thinking about what soap I would like to use this winter.  I wanted something fruity, but not candy fruity.  I had a sample of Moonlight Pomegranate from Brambleberry that I thought would be perfect.  The recipe was a departure from my normal recipe as I decided to use lard along with my olive oil, organic palm oil and castor oil.  I think I'm getting the hang of swirling!

  1. You definitely have the hang of swirling--they're beauteous! I really like the shape of your bars, too. I'm curious about that scent and am anxious to try out my sample.

    1. Thank you Amy! I am hooked on my vertical bars that's for sure. I can make them as tall or short as I want depending on how much fragrance oil I have!

  5. I have had the same fragrance for a while now, I've been scared to use it in cp soap since the description says that it can be hard to work with. Did you have a hard time with it, or was it okay to work with? Thanks, your soap is beautiful!

    1. Thank you! As for the fragrance I also read what the description said so I tried to use a soap recipe that I knew was very well behaved. I also used extra water. Using lard seems to slow trace down so I used that too. I didn't have any issues at all with the fragrance.
