enjoy the view

Hubby and I decided to take a last minute backpacking trip to the Big Horns near Buffalo, Wyoming.  I absolutely love it there.  We haven't been there since September 2006 so it was time.  September brought some beautiful weather (before it turned cold) so we decided to take advantage of it.

Our dog Milla is getting up there in age.  She'll be 14 in November and is having one issue after another, which makes it hard to leave town.  But luckily she was healthy and was able to spend some time at a wonderful lodging place where she was spoiled rotten.  Here's a picture of her on the way to the kennel hanging out of the car.  She just loves this!

Wheeeeeeeeee!

We knew it would be a long drive so we took two days to get there.  It's 900 miles to the trailhead, but worth every mile.  We decided to spend two nights out there.

Here's a view just starting the hike.

Where are we?  just kidding!

  4. @Jennifer...Thank you! I hope your leg keeps getting better. I had a broken bone in my foot, which required a bone graft, almost 3 years ago and it took a very long time to heal. I will never take my feet for granted again!

  5. Wow, what a beautiful area. I'm sure it was very a wonderful and peaceful experience. Thanks for sharing. Billie and I loved to camp when we were younger. Now we camp on our boat where we have a bathroom, kitchen, and bed. Yes, we have gotten lazy in our golden years.
