The Versatile Blogger Award!

Wow!  Thank you so much to Titania's Dreamy Delights and Tenth Avenue Soapworks for nominating me for the Versatile Blogger award.  Yippee!!  A day late and a dollar short, but I am finally getting to this.  I'm shy in nature so it's not easy for me to talk about myself, but here it goes!

The rules are:

2 – Share 7 random things about yourself

3 – Award 7 bloggers with this award and contact them to let them know they have won.

This is me (probably more than you wanted to know)....

1.  My best friend and love of my life is my husband, Lee.  We met when I was 19 and it was love at first sight.  I have a long story to tell on how we were meant to be together, but I'll save that for another post.  I'm truly blessed that he's in my life.  We've been married for 15 years and it's been a wonderful journey.  Now if I could just find a decent photo of us together!!  I had to dig back to about 2001 or 2002!  This is one of my favorite pictures of us.  Oh to be 10 years younger!

2.  I'm a jack of all trades, master of none.  I once took a personality test and it said I was a crafter, that I liked to make things with tools.  Heck yes!  I just have too many hobbies: sewing (which includes backpacks, sleeping quilts, tents/tarps, outdoor clothing, personal clothing, and accessories) , making wine, cider, and pyment,  making soap, making anything bath and body (I'm obsessed with formulating), making jewelry.....if it can be done I'll do it.

Moving on....

3.  I'm very proud of getting my Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering (okay, really it's civil, but my emphasis was environmental).  It was hard, but very rewarding.  This was taken before I owned a digital camera.  Ack!  Remember when you had to scan pictures?!

4.  I'm a super light sleeper.  I hate it!  I rarely feel like I got a good night's sleep.  If you are a burglar and want to break into my house...don't.  I will hear you before you even try.  But seriously, if I worry about anything I'll be up all night.  I actually started listening to calming music that I bought for my dog for her fear of storms.

5.  I really miss my dog Bart.  We got Bart right after we got married.  I was kind of a child then.  Crying and pouting to my husband about how I wanted a puppy.  We drove to Colorado and got Bart.  He was a rotten puppy!  LOL!  But he grew up to be the most lovable dog in the whole world.  We don't have children so I always said he was my little boy.  We had to put him to sleep a few years ago after we found out he had squamous cell carcinoma in his mouth.  Very sad.  

6.  I get crabby when I'm hungry.  My husband knows now to always keep me fed.  I basically run on a battery and when it gets low I stop talking.  If you don't feed me then I get crabby.  Following crabby comes snide remarks.  So...the solution is to always keep me fed!  

7.  I'm an Aquarius and need my alone time.  If you're into astrology and know anything about my sign...it's true!  Give me space and I'm a happy camper!
